about the following function: HRESULT SetStreamSource( UINT StreamNumber, IDirect3DVertexBuffer9 *pStreamData, UINT OffsetInBytes, UINT Stride ); If different stream number is setted, the rendering would be concurrent or not?

As i read today about the multistream and what i get is that it will render concurrent as GPU taking vertex information from different streams i.e. suppose it taking position and Color info. from one stream and texture coordinates of vertex from other stream. Actually Each stream's VB are first dumped into the AGP memory and then processed to render...If one of the srteam's VB is already in the memory then the rest will be fetched to the memory...

It has nothing to do with concurrent rendering.

However many streams you use will be composited into one stream for the vertex shader so ultimately it is a serial process.

Multi-stream rendering is a useful optimization but is quite specialised. It's not a magic switch you can flip to gain more FPS [smile]

Oh... yes actually its taking the vertex information from different streams into one stream and then it renders them all as one stream... Yes it is a serial not concurrent process...
