Team name: Dark Hemisphere Productions Project name: Virtual Table-Top (working name, final name yet to be determined) Brief description: A new project, creating a playing aid for groups to get-together virtually and play games (such as, RPG's wargames, board games) with voice chat, and little to no learning curve. Target aim: Self-distribution Compensation: Ideally a percentage of potential revenue. I am committed to seeing this project through to completion, I know finding dedicated team members on a volunteer, or "percentage someday" scale can be difficult. Compensation upon completing agreed upon milestones is a possibility, however compensation would be very minor, and more a demonstration of commitment. Technology: Windows platform * DirectX / C++ * Networking * VoIP Content production will begin after completion of a robust engine. Talent needed: C++ programmers with experience with * VoIP * DirextX - 3D graphics and GUI * Networking - peer-peer chat, file transfer, etc. Team structure: Myself (Brett Moore) - Design, Project Management, Distribution, Finance. That's it so far, While I have programming experience, this is beyond my level, so I am looking for some talented members to join the team. Website: None as of yet. Contacts: bn_moore@hotmail.com (email and MSN) Previous Work by Team: None in the electronic gaming field. Additional Info: While not exactly a game itself, I was hoping there might be some interest in this project from the CRPG fans/developers out there. While there are thousands of interesting features possible for the project (everyone I speak to mentions a few more.) The intention is to build a system that is as simple, easy to use, and flexible as possible. The reasons for this are two fold. First, by streamlining the project to it most basic elements, the production time is reduced. I intend to see this project finished, and I would rather have a solid, working, set of basic tools, than an application filled with great features, many works in progress. Once the core is finished to satisfaction additional features can be considered. Second, the fewer features, the simpler the finished project will be to use, and increases it's flexibility. It should work just as well for a game of chess as it does for SuperRPG2007, not having to learn a bunch of tools that may not be used by everyone is a big plus. Feedback: ANY AND ALL
