Why?

Okay, I seem to have been banned from the Gamedev.net chat channel, for ''Abuse and, most recently, threats of CTCP Floods''. I cannot seem to remember abusing anybody, or flooding channels. By the way, this is true and sincere. If I truly did abuse anybody, I am really sorry, but I have NO recollection whatsoever of flooding any channel, unless, perhaps, an imposter did it, seriously. Actually, I don''t even know what CTCP floods are, so, I just want to post the question....... why? I have not realised I have abused anybody, and if I did, I''m sorry.
