I''m writing a static library using VC++6.0. The library I''m writing uses some functions contained in other static libraries and DLLs. However, I can''t find the "Link" tab in the "Project Settings" dialogue in order to specify the static libraries I want my library to link with. Of course, the tab appears if I''m writing an executable, but not a static library. The library compiles with no error messages, but the the size of the ".lib" file suggests is hasn''t linked with any other libraries. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks.

Well thats simply because there isn''t one - the "Link" tab that is.

Just add the lib''s you need to link to your "source tree" (the thing usually sitting at the right) or use a #pragma to tell to the compiler to link it (#pragma message(lib, "abc.lib")???).

"This album was written, recorded and edited at Gröndal, Stockholm in the year of 2000. At this point in time money still ruled the world. Capitalistic thoughts were wide spread. From the sky filled with the fumes of a billionarie''s cigar to the deepest abyss drenched in nuclear waste. A rich kid was a happy kid, oh..dirty, filthy times. Let this be a reminder."

Of course, the correct compiler directive is:

#pragma comment(lib, "tree")

Although again, this only works when compiling the final executable. I suppose that''ll have to do.
