Hey guys, next year I am going to be taking the Math and Computer Science GREs. Just wondering if anyone here has taken them and wants to offer some tips, resources, etc... on what i should do to get ready for them. Any good online or commercial resource recommendations are welcome too. - Brett

It's unusual, and probably unuseful, for someone to take more than one GRE subject test. Several major graduate CS programs want to see either math or CS scores, but they're certainly not expecting to see both.

Right now im persuing both degrees. I have no idea to what type of grad program im going to be applying to yet. This is my junior year, and im just not sure what direction im going to take and id like to keep my options open. But i see what your saying.

If CS programs - especially programs you are likely to apply to - will accept a math GRE, then just do that as it works for both math and CS.

Aslo, pursuing.

There are studies that suggest that the GRE isn't an accurate predictor of graduate school success, and a number of schools are starting to drop it from consideration. Wikipedia has a good summary, with a few links to studies.

My school doesn't require a GRE. Need to have like a 3.0 GPA, few CS classes/calc 2 and you're in.

I'd imagine the math GRE would be more useful if you aren't sure what direction you want to go.

It's a law of the internet that any spelling correction must itself include a spelling error (if only an obvious typo). So you really ought to have a broken image link there. ;)
