SO, here is my problem I have a X38DQ6 motherboard and recently I bought two 8800GT OC GPU's. I know that formally this type of motherboard doesn't support SLI but they assured me that It will If I update my BIOS. The problem is(after the update) that even though Windows detects the two cards 3DMARK06 doesn't and additionally I don't see any increase of the performance.What is going wrong? any ideas?

You are using a 2 way SLI bridge?

You mean the cable that connects the two cards?
Yes I took one from another motherboard,nothing happens.

Someone told me that I must install an unofficial driver
in order to make it work...
Where can I find those drivers?

I've never done SLI, just read informally about it. However, I would try this:

1) double check the flash was correct, and that it really *is* running the f7 bios (confirm from within the bios screen)
2)Uninstall the video card drivers. Use driver cleaner.
3)Make sure you are using the newest video drivers
4)Make sure both PCI-E are functional (test each card individually in the slots)
5)I seem to recall there were issues with vista and SLI...I suppose making sure everything is up to date would be a good
6) He seems to have the same problem as you...perhaps poke around tomshardware/techreport might give you some more help?

//edit.
as well, is your PSU ok with the extra load?
take a look here and jump to the "Section 4: The Basics Of SLI " part. Just search in the page, as the top links seem broken...

Might help?

Check overclocking forums. Last time I looked there wasn't anything.
