Websever game needs

I am working software that needs a websever but I don't know what I need to progam to make this work, if anyone has worked on games that used a webserver can you please help me. You can either post here or email me at daystar2010@gmail.com.

We have used Apache 2 and it has worked well.

I mean to have a game run off of a sever.

yeah and like he said apache works well.

Now to play the so vague a question that is impossible to guess what the author is actually looking for game:

You should look into PHP, not because it is the best but, because it is the most well supported on low end hosting solutions which is probably where your game is going to start (and stay if you aren't trying to make money off it.)
