Team name: Nitrous Butterfly LLP Project name: NuVera Online 3D Chat for Grown-ups Brief description: We are creating a 3D chat program that is unique in many ways. I will not be going into too much detail as we have been working on this for over a year and are nearing the stage of going into closed beta with it but we need some assistance with completion of the project. Target aim: We offer the chance to get in on the ground floor of what is already turning out to potentially be a very popular program as we have many people already knocking on our email asking when the site and program will be ready for viewing. Our program will incorporate a 3D chat program with an online social network. The intent is to allow 2D and 3D artists to profit from creating objects and environments for the avatars which they can sell to members to use in their 3D chat environments. This will not be an immediate financial gain but definitely one that will grow into a business for many once established. There are other similar sites out there that have proven this type of program to be sound, allowing for financial gain; however, we are different from those programs as we are offering unique elements that we polled many 3D chat users on. This project is for grown ups but not as an 'adult' themed website. We plan to differentiate our program by allowing 3D communication between those over the age of 18 without concern of interacting with teens or children while allowing for personal space that others may not access without the users invitation. More details will be available to candidates once joined with our company. Compensation: We are looking for a few selected individuals willing to work for very minimal to non-existent pay up front that can create 3D avatars with the intent of them being animated. Once the site is out of closed beta we anticipate a growth in which 2D and 3D artists can financially gain from the creation of additional items that will be placed in their catalogue of items and sold via website credits. These credits can then be rolled over into real life cash. This is a long term arrangement which we believe will be profitable for those willing to participate early on in the program as well as for those joining us after we go live. Technology: Our program will be using 3DS Max 8 or higher for all 3D components. Our base program uses the Ogre Rendering Engine Talent needed: We require a person or persons that have experience with developing 3D avatars as well as objects and environments if possible. More specifically: A low poly female and male avatar with texture work done (by the same or another person). Any mapping done will need to be symmetrically mapped as the intention will be to have the ability to create 'skins' to alter the look of the avatar. We would like, if possible, for the avatar to look more real than anime. We are not looking for cartoonish but more along the lines of a poser model, with less polygons. No hair or clothing need be attached as we plan to have those as add-ons. It would be beneficial if the person(s) applying are familiar with the Ogre Rendering Engine as we are utilizing this for our base programming. We will expect any persons who choose to join us on this venture to sign a Non-Disclosure agreement, which will require all those willing to participate to be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their local area (which ever is higher in age). This site has a 'grown-up' theme and will not be focused on teen users.
