Hey I don't know jack about the internet, I only know c++. Where's the best place to go to learn about making a website? Can someone tell me a book to get or a website to look at? I started looking at stuff online about it and I was told to go to websitepalace.com and pay them $16 a year for a domain name. That seems fishy to me.

Try W3Schools to learn about actually coding a website. For free hosting, a good place to start is Freehostia.
