What made you think that you'd feel more adult? [wink]

Happy Birthday!

25 is when you officially become an adult and are old. Of course I can't verify this as I am still 24 and still feel like a kid.

I'm gonna be 25 in 9 days. Should I be scared?

I'm 27, nearly 28, and I don't feel remotely like an adult either... despite working 5 days a week and living on my own.

Growing up is for losers [razz]

Same here. I'm 26 now, and I felt a lot more grown up when I was 16...

Makes me wonder, do other people actually feel like adults, or is that just one big illusion to make children feel everything is under control? [grin]

Youngsters! [lol]

I'm 41 and only feel like an adult some of the time. Being an adult sucks!

Clearly being a grown-up has nothing to do with absolute age, and everything to do with having babies. Nothing will make you feel like a grown-up like your kids calling you one.

y'all are young'uns! I'm 29 in ten days and I still feel 24 inside. I'm taking this "nearing 30" thing rather well, I must say.......

Actually I do look back and think "you were dumb back then". :D

I'm starting to think I kinda hit max maturity around 20 odd, I know that a year later I was back home from Uni, in a club, drunk and bouncing about like a loon... and the next 6 and a half years continued this trend.

Having moved I found I lacked people to do this with (well, I'm going home this weekend, which should be fun), so I've resolved to make friends who I can hang out with until 6am and generally talk bollox with, even if it means doing so after a full week of work *chuckles*

Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

And hey, if you're old enough to get the reference, THEN you're old. Otherwise, geroff my lawn!

I'm 21 in June and feel about 51. Life sucks.

I don't see the point in celebrating birthdays, why would you want to celebrate one giant leap towards the Pearly Gates? I haven't been excited about my birthday since, oh, my 15th or so? My 17th was vaguely cool because I had my first driving lesson, but my 18th was a school trip to Alton Towers yet I still felt horribly depressed because I don't like big rides.

The sentence below is true. The sentence above is false. And by the way, this sentence only exists when you are reading it.

You don't feel very different, huh?

That's because you're not exercising your right to smoke a cigar. DO IT.

30 wasn't bad. 40 sucked hard though. [sad]

QFT. Nothing makes you realize you got to grow up and keep your act together more than knowing your kid will suffer if you dont.

Is there such a thing as being a grown up?

To a 2 year old, a 12 year old is grown up.
to a 12 year old, a 20 year old is grown up.
to a 20 year old, a 40 year old is grown up.
and to a 40 year old, an 80 year old is grown up.

What matters is how mature one really is.

Happy Birthday, by the way.
