Well time is the ultimate test, I last posted this sometime in 07: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=462642 Since then, I've made a good deal of progress with scripting and working the content pipeline and paved the way for physics and an improved lighting model. I have a binary demo of the engine available, inquire if interested. Some screenshots are available here: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1153/LargeTerrain.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3852/MD5.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3456/SU34.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1276/clipmapTech.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/628/GPUSkinned.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3218/Missile.jpg Note: the demo requires Geforce 6 level cards or better! This is a serious project, and you will be working with a programmer who really knows his stuff. Project name: Brief description: Since the time I last posted, there have been a gluttony of war fighting games released so I'm not sure I want to add to this. I am open to new game ideas. Immersiveness is a key requirement and I have spent a great effort on managing LOD and instancing to provide the framework to build a rich environment that renders realtime. Target aim: Create a high-quality, professional looking, fun game. Technology: As technical director, I am taking sole responsiblity for the core engine development. Current technologies include realistic rigid-body physics, large terrain, per-pixel lighting and shadows, and an established content pipeline with scripting. The current unstable build is already using G80 level technology to achieve high-quality shadows. To work on this project you must have access to a Geforce 8 series or better graphics card! Immediate Talent needed: Gameplay programmers and artists. Your job is to bring the idea of a game to reality using my engine. Don't worry, if its missing a feature that we all think is essential, I'll add it. But you don't need to read 3 volumes of GPU gems to do it, you just ask me and I'll implement the feature so you can focus on game design and art assets. Team structure: Currently just me. Website: No website at the moment. Contacts: Reply or PM me on gamedev
