I want to know of the functional screen savers that are out there. I saw this one once that would defrag the hard drive. Or I have heard there is software that can be installed that will process some data for nasa or something like that. Is there anything you have seen or even any ideas you may have?

Why not write your own? Actually, I might do that myself at some point, once I find the need for it.

Most people don't have any need for something like this. What's he supposed to write - even you can't think of an application and you're suggesting the idea!

A screensaver that displays rss feeds is quite useful.
