Gdnet members of times past

Original Post
What ever happened to some of the truly regulars on gdnet, such as Michalson and 23yrold3yrold, etc. ? Michalson hasn't posted here in over a year and 23yrold3yrold since January according to their profiles. (expecting waves of witty/half-witted comments sprinkled with real information)
People move on - it's only natural. We've had plenty of notables come and go over the years. If your asking in more of a "where are they now?" sense, then Google is a pretty effective tool for finding what people are up to these days, given the right amount of information to separate the individual you're looking for from other like-named individuals. Fruny, for example (through Google), you can find here.
People have various reasons for leaving the site, many of them tend to be personal so obviously they don't share them much. Hopefully someone of em will be back someday - of course there are plenty who can just stay away :P
Still, it's usually a good time remembering them.

I don't know where they are.
Then who's that in my basement?
Me. Thanks for leaving a PC down here, but can you please let me out?!

And thus the greatest mystery of our time comes to a close.
I'd link to the Mountain Climbing And Horses forum right now, but all the links I can find give "access denied". Can we have it back? Pretty please?
A lot of rad people have come and gone in the last, uh, eight years I've been here. That seems like such a long time.
But, yeah, Fruny and Michalson seem to have come and gone. Dave and Kevin don't post in the forums with the same regularity as "the good ol' days" (though Kevin has been keeping his development journal active). The newbies that I learned programming with have all grown up and gotten real development/game development jobs (like me!).
Sup getting older.

I still wonder what Landfish is up to these days.
I wonder what bishop_pass is up to these days
Pouya, anyone?

Yup, in "Game Design" fairly often: a recent thread.
Has the average age on the site changed? Has the distribution of ages shifted? If someone gathered data of years passed and compared it with current one could use it to accurately guess which of the current members would still be here in 2 years or so. For example if the distribution hasnt changed then we can expect to lose a fair number of long time members. If the proportion of those over say 24 has shown a steady increasing trend then we may expect to continue to retain them...
hmmm there are questions everywhere like are members who have continued to post at rate r over X years likely to be retained and stuff. It would be cool if GD allowed access to its database for erm 'data mining' purposes.

There's certainly a lot of people who aren't showing their faces around here as often, or at all:
Those are all the ones I can think of off the top of my head and there's bound to be many more. It's kinda sad that well-known legacy members just disappear without a trace like that.
- Fruny
- kSquared
- Michalson (not bothered about him TBH, the guy was a cock and he probably knew it)
- felisandria
- snk_kid
- Drew_Benton (maybe he's here but I haven't seen him in ages)
- Muhammad Haggag (although he popped up in someone's journal comments a few days ago)
- Wavinator
- SunAndShadow
- MotionCoil
- EnemyBoss
- Myopic Rhino (not on the forums at least)
- Don Thorp
- mlambert (he went totally AWOL and even the staff couldn't contact him)
- H_o_p_s
- BiGF00T (creator of BiGF00T 1337 Hockey Basic, if anyone remembers that)
