Alright, I am having a problem with allegro in Dev C++. Whenever I run this code . #include int main(void) { allegro_init(); allegro_message("Allegro Test One"); return 0; } END_OF_MAIN() I get this error message during runtime: "Entry Point Not Found" "The procedure entry point _install_allegro_version_check could not be located in the dynamic link library alleg42.dll." Can anyone tell me why I am getting this error and how to fix it? Thanks.

You're not linking correctly it sounds like.
Provide more info i.e. steps you took to compile, etc and ditch Dev C++!

Well, I'm not ditching Dev C++ because I was having similar problems with VC. I can give more info though.
First I installed the dev pack for allegro... The most recent one, whatever that is. Then I went to "Project options - Parameters, and added lib/liballeg.a to the linker. Then I compiled and ran.

EDIT: Found the answer to my problem on another forum.
