Hey everyone. I just wanted to let folks here know that a website dedicated to Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty 5 mapping/modding is online. The site, http://www.codmapping.com is always looking for new members to come share in the learning process and offer what help they may have to people who are new to modifying a game. I thought the community here at gamedev.net would be interested because, well, the sites dedicated to creating/modifying games and various software. Neat site!

Idea: One thing might be worth looking at is organizing your file-centric subforums in a file-specific interface? IE, the maps forum lists threads with the map screenshot and filters for different types of maps. For a good idea of what I'm talking about, see ModTheSims2.com. Check out their downloads subforum: they show a screenshot of each file on the browse page, and even highlight popular downloads. :)
