Can anyone help me locate the data files used to generate this page of the control panel? I was hit by a pretty nasty virus, and its remove option in this page is trying to open something to the web. Does anyone know where this information is stored? Or know of a program that will delete items from the list? I'm using Windows XP Home Edition. Thanks for any help.

This might help, though I haven't tried it myself.

Just out of curiosity, what happens if you do a virus scan? Is the anti-virus unable to locate the virus, or just can't get rid of it?

Ah, so that's where they're stored. That worked perfectly, thanks.

The virus wasn't so much a virus as a stealthy self-installing adware/toolbar program. I used AVG Free virus scanner to successfully remove the program, then used Hijack This to remove the browser modifications it made, but the control panel entry got left behind.
