Hello, I am looking for someone who knows Blitz BASIC, or if not that, than maybe just BASIC (I am assuming if you know BASIC you can learn Blitz BASIC in no time) because while I know how to write text programs (Hello World, and that kind of simple crap) I would love assistance with programming using this language. I use BlitzPlus, and I have a DLL file capable of giving realtime scaling/rotation and alpha transparency. I just need a sort of "mentor," nothing more, nothing less...just someone I can email when I have a question, and preferably IM with (I use AIM.) Please respond. My email is adept25@pacbell.net My AIM is DavinFeive Cheers!

Hey Forestknight25,

First of all, BlitzBasic has in fact nothing to do with BASIC. Only the syntax is slightly the same...
Then, I would recommand using BlitzMax rather then BlitzBasic (Blitz3D or BlitzPlus). It still have some issues but is far more powerful (e.g. your stuff also runs under mac and linux).
In the end, whether you use BMax or BB, you don't need a dll - these two languages have everything you need inbuild. ;)

For any question, you should consider visiting the official BlitzBasic Forum...

Well all I have is B+...it is because 1: I cannot afford anything else, and 2: The newer ones don't support MOD or MIDI music files, as far as I know. Wait, I think I might have BlitzMax on my computer...lemme check...yes, I do. Not sure how well it runs though...

Anyways, yes, I do have it.

EDIT: Do you know any BlitzMax yourself? Like I said I'd love some help :)
