Hey all, After much googling I find myself yet again relying on GD to sort me out!! I wondering if it is possible to use stencil buffers to gradually fade out the edge of a texture until transparent? Let me explain - if I render a simple 2D textured quad to the scene, can I use a grayscale black-white gradient on a stencil buffer to fade out the parts of the stencil that are white, so black is fully opaque, greys are semi-transparent, and white is fully transparent? So far I can only figure out how to simply 'discard' pixels - which is what the name stenciling would imply, but I can curious if there is any blending capabilities? Cheers in advance, BrakePad

You can only use the stencil buffer to either completely reject or accept pixels, you can't use it to control the blending done.

Cheers for the quick reply
