Hi guys, I learnt XNA and DirectX (C# version) a while ago, but I've switched to C++ now because XNA is great but useless for a real game unless you have an XBOX, which I don't. Also, am I right in saying that they're not bothering to update the C# version of directx? heard that somewhere. Plus, everyone else seems to be using C++ so it seems the sensible option, though it's hard to get out of some C# habits into the C++ ones. Anyway, I was following the Riemers tutorial for DirectX C# and I was able to fly about. The thing I don't like about his flight method though is that it moves everything else, rather than just the craft. He says this is the usual, I believe him but I don't like it that way. I tried flipping it so the craft moves instead but it boggled my brain a bit too much. So are there any really good flight kinematics (or land vehicle) tutorials that do it this way? Also, if someone knows of some massive reason why I shouldn't do it this way please let me know. Cheers.

I would assume the vehicle/aircraft would have all it's forces applied to it which would result in a new position and orientation, then you would update your camera to make up for these changes (place the camera behind, apply any camera damping etc...).
