hello guys, i can't understand the qsplat source code from stanford, because that one uses a large memory chunk to store a tree data structure. i can't see the actual tree structure given only the memory chunk. I want to use a point based code to render my own data set, the easiest way i guess is to understand the data structure used in a point based rendering code and replace the data with my own. so is there any simpler point based rendering code i can find from the internet aside from that one? thank you.

Not really what you asked, but there is a book called "Point-Based Graphics (The Morgan Kaufmann Series in Computer Graphics)". See it on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Point-Based-Graphics-Morgan-Kaufmann-Computer/dp/0123706041/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1236345362&sr=8-2

I haven't read it (but have been meaning to) but the other 'Morgan Kaufmann Series in Computer Graphics' books are excellent.
