I am looking for an img processing alg to create an effect that will enlarge a specific area of an image and leave the rest alone or even shrink the rest of the image a little. The rest of the image needs to remain visible. Once this has looped several times, these pre-determined parts of the image would/should take up alomst the entire canvas - as though they've been zoomed in on. I believe there is an photoshop filter called "liquify", which does something like this but I haven't used PS for so long I really can't remember! I don't want concentric rings like drops of rain falling on a puddle. Ideally also it would be good to have multiple zoom-shapes. If any of this isn't clear I can explain further.
