I'm trying to make a life orb for my game but i encountered a task to which i didn't find a certain answer. When i made the new panel for my game i saw that the life orb had to go out of the panel and when im on low life i would have to see through the transparent life bulb because that part was out of the panel. So i would like to ask for a procedure for delphix (delphi 6) in which i could write a 1px line in a dib with a certain color (the dib's transparent color) so that i can make the life orb go up and down.

It will be better to use a 2D image. When life is full, you use the column on the left. When life goes to empty, you pick a column more to the right. Also, you have better control over its look using an art program.

Actually i thought of this column idea way before i even thought of posting in the forum but i just dont like having a plain old bar than rather an orb which most games use. I just want to know how could i write a line of pure black pixels onto a dib image in delphix. Here are the pictures of the orbs which would have to look when they are full and empty http://img15.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=panelready1.jpg
