Hi, this is not your usual request so I hope I am excused not using the standard template. I am a very experienced, C++/C#/Basic coder, who has been coding since the days of commodore 64. amiga, and the like. I can code next generation 3D engines, A.I, networking, anything required for a next generation video game. And that is my goal, to join a compelling indie team making great game/s. I am perfectly happy to prove my skillset to any enquiring team. I may be possibly interested in partening up with a talented 3D(not 2d, sorry) artist, to possibly make a few indie games of our own with. Serious requests only please. I WILL work for royalties, but only if the project has a good chance of actually making some. NO MMORPGS. PLEASE :) You may contact me directly at, awells2@btinternet.com I can provide several examples of my work. Including two complete 3d engines. Both openGL. one in C# net, one in basic. I also know xna very well.

The Evolutions! team is looking for develepors.

Its still in the pre-alpha phase, we are currently collecting develepors and forming our ideas. This will be a huge challenge, we could use someone with the descriptions you have.

Hi Guys,

Sad to report but still no luck finding a team compatible with my amibitions.

The problem is, I really do not want to join a team that has no 3D engine for the game. I really do not know of a single genuine AAA engine that is free.

I realize this limits my options, but that's my decision to make. I can't abide bad 3d engines.

Ideal engine would something like unigine or trinigy, as i have experience with both. I prefer tinigy(Best 3d engine ever made by man, no?) but unigine is very nice.

Please note - i have no interest in working with unreal technology. of any kind.

Oh and mod, not sure if it proves it(not my finest work, just my most recent) here is a few videos of mine from youtube. just some messing about i've did on my lonesome. :) imagine would it would look like with a cool 3d artist or 2d artist helping me. hey hey? hey? :)

San Andreas 2 - cinematic editor.

Basically for a while I thought it would be fun to base a game around san andreas city models. I used a variety of 3dsmax scripts and tools to convert the models into leadwerks engine compatible format.

The gui you see is all my own work, i build it ontop of josh's leadwerks engine.
It basically isn't very advanced rendering wise(The gui) - but that was intentional.

The cinematic editor was my own has well, just something i've wanted to do. but could never cos i couldn't understand 3dsmax. complicated tool for us coders no? :)

Q Engine

Most recent 3d engine i wrote. this is on svn somewhere, but only a old version.
Pretty nice for a few weeks work i thought.

Pocket Engine -

My most recent project - you can download it from pocket.codeplex.com

Before anyone accuses me of stealing idea, you can check blitzcoder code archives from over 5 years ago. i did it back then. so, it's my idea. ner ner. :) (just having a laugh, don't hate me :) )

Also please remember I will reply a lot sooner if you email me rather than post here or pm me. Nothing against this site, i just dont spend much time reading news/dev sites these days. have more fun actually deving :)

BTW mod, if you need someone to write a few nice xna examples for your next xna book, i can be bought. I am up for sale. my ass is dangling on a line with a for sale sticker.

Not that you need the help, but it's always fun to get a outside perspective on things, and it's also fun getting paid. :)

I'm a bit confused by your post... you say you can code next-generation engines, yet you don't want to join a team that doesn't already have a 3D engine...

If they already had a 3D engine... why would they need someone that can code 3D engines?...

That's a good question. Interesting how many contradictory for hire listings there have been recently.

Simple answer:I recently formatted my hd, and lost my last TWO 3d engines. Trinity Engine and Q engine.

Btw you can google trinity engine on opengl.org. It was on sale briefly before I changed my mind about selling it(Too much hassle) and decided to make it open source, but that never happened either.

Q is on a svn somewhere.

Anyway, I would be quite happy to prove any skill I claim to have to any potential employee. That's all part of the game :)

Here are some shots of my second to last 3d engine, Trinity. Note, at no stage was I ever working with a 3d artist, so some is my own(The city level) done in sketchup, and others are just stuff I got off the net.

City scape, using a commercial model pack.

My most recent game. a 2d soccer game. I created all the logos in here, but obviously the world cup is just a random pic off the net.

Screen space ambient occlusion. Based on Leadwerk's Technique.

Another city scene. this was before i added the sky system(Shader based of course. well i say of course, i'm too much of a next genist to try using fixed function pipeline. be my guest :) )

The Charlie Sheen Engine.

I briefly made a game with the engine, using a female soldier i bought.(3d model i assure you. my mail order bride doesn't get here until next wednesday. hopefully. fingers crossed! :)

Second shot of game. her butt is missing. this was a code bug with the animation system, not a statement about woman's butts. I assure you. :P
