Hi, I try to use the library CGAL (http://www.cgal.org). I made everything they said to install the library and I'm still not able to compile when I use a bit more complex classes like Delaunay. When I compiled, I got a list of error. On the website, they explain that a library, adapted for the OS and compiler, is localed in the "lib" directory, but there's nothing. Is anyone here able to explain me, in a better way than the website, how to compile or how to compile the library. I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. Thanks in advance! Widgg

I tried to follow the instructions given in the CGAL FAQ on a pretty virgin installation of ubuntu-8.10, and I had to make a few adjustments:
* I used libcgal2 instead of libcgal3 because apt-get didn't find the latter.
* I skipped the `cmake .' step in trying to build the Triangulation_2 demo. It doesn't seem to be needed.
* I installed package gfortran.

In short, I believe that this list of commands will get a Delaunay triangulation running:
$ sudo apt-get install libcgal2 libcgal-dev libcgal-demo gfortran
$ mkdir $HOME/cgal
$ cd $HOME/cgal
$ tar xzf /usr/share/doc/libcgal-demo/examples.tar.gz
$ tar xzf /usr/share/doc/libcgal-demo/demo.tar.gz
$ cd demo/Triangulation_2
$ make
$ ./Delaunay_triangulation_2

Does that answer your question?
