So I've been using netbeans for a while and its good, my one issue is this. I had just the Java part downloaded and installed, then i need the PHP part as well. Well when i downloaded it, it created a NetBeans 6.5.1 (the java one was NetBeans6.5). Now if i want to work with PHP i have to run 6.5.1 and to work in Java I have to run 6.5. This is getting really annoying. I know that they can be run under the same version but I don't know how to do that from this point? Any ideas on how to merge the two "versions"? Thanks!

A) we have a Java forum here,
B) the Lounge is not a technical support forum, why don't you try one of Sun Microsystems' many forums?
C) NetBeans is pants.

Delete the java one (not the jdk). And try to update the latest one (php), to also use java:
Tools -> Plugins -> available plugins
select Java (and other java related stuff if you want to)

I've once seen a netBeans that wouldn't download the php part, so if all else fail, then just download the version with all the stuff..

Oh and btw mr midnight.. netBeans rules!

You inadvertently installed two separate instances of Netbeans; the latest one (presumably 6.5.1) should have imported the earliest one's settings, projects etc. (but not the plugins).
Add all plugins you use to 6.5.1 as VildNinja says, then uninstall 6.5 to consolidate your NetBeans to the latest version. Tip: comparing the application directories is an easy way to detect plugins that are in only one of the two installations; each has its own folder.
