I've broken my macbook screen :(
Well, i did it when watching a movie in my bed. It's a little cracked in the top left corner but i can use it just fine even so. I called apple service and they say they can replace it for 500EURO !!! That's 665$! Why is the price so high? gee... Do i have any other alternatives? Like buying a second hand screen? What should i do?

How did you to that?
Wait, I probably don't want to know.

Well it's rather simple. I walked into the bed and i slipped somehow and i got my elbow in the screen.
You may be able to buy a replacement LCD panel on eBay. I don't know how easy MacBooks are to repair (so it may be worth looking for a repair guide for your laptop model before spending money) and whether it invalidates your warranty, but I've replaced (non-Apple) LCD panels in the past with minimal amounts of fuss.

If it's like the older Macbooks, it shouldn't be too hard to replace. Most of that price is going to be labour, but also your location - Apple Authorized service in countries with very few authorized dealers is always quite bothersome. The new "Unibody" machine looks like it will be more hassle, but even Apple can't make something like that that hard.
Check iFixit and the like to see if there's even a replacement part available for your machines - it usually takes awhile for places like those to get ahold of the pieces of a new model. They will also usually have guides on how to repair the machine.
Edit: Here is a replacement screen for the "unibody" Macbook. It's expensive (LED backlighting, airport card, iSight, etc).
