hello, let's assume that i perform a glow effect and i have 2 objects in my scene. Object A and B. Drawing object A without any shaders and b with a glow shader draw(a) rendertarget = texture gloweffect(b) rendertarget = screen a glow shader can be a 3 pass shader. horizontal blur, vertical blur. the 3rd pass is to blend the glow texture over the screen. but than this texture only contains a blurred image. it has to layed over the original object. how to avoid a stupid redraw of the original object ? what is the best way to do this ? I mean, if i render object B to a buffer/texture it wont appear on the screen, of course. and the result of a glow shader is a blurred object. At the moment im creating to render textures. last rendertexture holds the original object. than in the final stage i draw a fullscreen quad textured with the original object and then blend over a fullscreen quad with the glow effect texture. greetings, xiaowei
