Hi! I've got an odd problem with DirectInput. I'm writing 3D game and I want to get coordinates of the cursor and show them on the screen. I'm using DIMOFS_X and MSDN tutorial. When I move cursor without moving camera everything is alright. The problem appears when I'm rotating a camera nad moving it forward... Than my X coordinate shows some crazy values, once < 0, once > 0. These are really big numbers and I have no idea where they come from. I would be very grateful for anyone, who can see any solution for this...

This doesn't answer your question, but don't do that. Please. I installed Unreal Tournament yesterday and nearly tore my hair out because of the lack of pointer ballistics and my small mouse pad.

Sooo.... You mean to don't use DI, just WinAPI?

If you're using DirectInput to manage a GUI cursor, you definitely want to use Win32, so you get the benefit from pointer ballistics (And it's far easier to use). If you're using it for a FPS style camera, then you'd probably be best using raw input - although if you've already got the DirectInput code working, you might be as well sticking with it.

I don't have working DirectInput code, as you see :) Thanks for advices, I will look for other ways to do what I want to do :) Thanks!
