Tonehammer Antidrum: Volume 2 is GO! April may very well be the month Tonehammer's insanity peaked. We've just exploded a new mega-huge sample library into the world and this one defies explaination. Allow me to explain. Back in December, we delivered Antidrum Volume 1, a mighty collection of off-beat, unusual and yet highly musical instruments for Kontakt 2/3. This April 3rd, we released Antidrum Volume 2, a 2.15 GB collection that weighs in at more than double the size of the last. It features 25 different instrument types, with 76 instrument patches and 4555 high quality samples. It includes the most extensive music box multisample library that we know of. It also features tuned waterglasses and bowls, coke bottle flutes, rainsticks, thunderdrums, a stop watch, and plain old fingersnaps, all with our signature deep-sampling methodology. But that's where the normalcy ends. From there, we delve deeper and deeper into uncharted musical territory. We have a massive PVC pipe horn ensemble, featuring blasts, drones, 4-man sprinkler system beat-box and even wailing ethnic vocals funneled through 20 feet of fairly ordinary 1" plumbing conduit. We've got something that could almost be a miniature version of the cylindrum, called Boomwhackers. We've got Slinky "laserbeam" percussion. We've got a pair of custom sound-designed synthetic drum kits, huge bass-heavy percussive booms and blasts that are perfect for trailers and massive industrial music, good old trash cans and even our very special human trumpet ensemble, which must be heard to be believed. The library even includes an exclusive set of very special custom ambiences created by esteemed jazz instrumentalist and sound designer Steven Tavaglione, which he created using our Human Trumpet and source and inspiration. If you thought Antidrum 1 was cool, we think you'll find that Antidrum 2 is absolutely the shit.
