Hi all, I have just recently start useing DirectX, Within the last week or so as I wanted to make use of DirectSound for a project I am doing. I've looked through most of the sample applications that come with the SDK (I origonally downloaded March 09 and found it was all XAudio2 Samples) So I got the April 2007 SDK which still had the DirectSound ones. I read up that the StreamData Sample had been removed from it though (For reasons still unknown to me) But I managed to find a 2004 version of the SDK which still had the StreamData sample included. How ever I can not build the sample application, I get the error message: 1>LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'd3dx9dt.lib' I read that this library has been replaced with an other "The statically-linked debug library (D3DX9dt.lib) has been removed; use D3DX9d.lib instead" I have two main questions really: 1) Visual Studio is not my native IDE and I am not really sure how I go about changing the library file I am using, So if anyone could tell me how to change the file that would be greatly appricated. 2) Does anyone know why the StreamData sample was removed? Currently this is my only error, however I am suspicious that even if I get this working I will just get more and more errors. I can't see why they would remove this sample but keep all the others. (No other DS sample where removed for 3 years) So if anyone knows anything about the StreamData sample or how I change my library files I would greatly appricate it! Thanks all for your time! =)
