I'm getting ready to implement my render queue, as my demo apps are starting to get really cluttered with different objects. I read over how Ogre did it for a reference, but was wondering if any more sample implementation are lurking out there? I know my renderable objects are going to need to be sorted by depth They might need to be sorted by effect (at least opaque ones) I need some means of flagging them opaque or semi-transparent I probably need to provide a bounding box for each one I think I like the priority queue of priority queues idea. that way I could name on "background" for instance, and then render everything that is background. I am thinking of allowing a render target to be set for each one and some means of telling it to render the contents of a queue to a render target and then that render target to the screen at some depth. Any other ideas I should take into consideration?
