Anyone know where I could possibly find any Ruby tutorials on game programming? I've just found out that RGSS is a fork of Ruby, and I hadn't previously known that, so I want to learn Ruby as I liked RGSS. Also, anyone who's interested in how I was using it to Program games, and what I was programming, here it goes. I was programming Pokemon games using RPG Maker XP. You may be wondering how that would be possible without massive code writings, well, these amazing guys wrote an essentials pack to start off with. http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=105731 Goes right along with RPG Maker XP. But yeah, with that aside, I'd like to find a good Ruby tutorial, and I've searched but the search engines generally suck, as they give me stuff like specific tutorials instead of a general one.

Ruby is my favorite Scripted Language, although I don't use it often. Anyway, the most efficient tutorial out there is "Try Ruby":
http://tryruby.hobix.com/

That said, that website only works as a starter experience, and doesn't get into the details of Ruby as I hoped.

Personally, the freely available online book "Ruby Programming" was my favorite guide, but it assumes you already know some words used in Programming, such as functions, blocks, member variables, and the likes.

Edit: I haven't searched for any ruby programming for games specifically, but if you haven't worked with a Scripted Language like python yet, you should definitely start with what I suggested.
