Hi guys, Just one rookie question, am developing a president campaign game for the final year project. Have identified some functions like multi-player and real-time. And have two options in terms of programming language - java or php/jsp/html. My question is whether all the above is capable of fulfiling the functions i require, and which one is better in general..

When working on any final school project it's rarely an argument of what's the best way to do something, rather what does everyone knows best.

I agree with the above statement. If you choose the "web pages on a server" route, then all the real-time graphics with AJAX, or something else, could be hard. If you choose a Java Application, then there could be issues with networking code and asynchronous operations.

Since you only have a limited amount of time, you want to pick the technology that will let you get everything done. It would be better to have a complete game that looks "okay" then to have a fantastic looking game that doesn't work.
