How to keep materials and textures intact while collapsing the scene
Hello,
Forgot if asked this question before. But here I go
How do I keep materials and textures intact when collapsing the whole scene?
When I collapse the scene, the whole scene turns grey,
any textures applied to this scene (a building)are messed up.
Thanks
Jack
When you are collapsing any 3d object you do need to make sure you have a uvw map in there somewhere. Idealy you'll want to unwrap this, however if its basic textures it shouldn't matter a whole lot, but you should get comfortable doing this so when you apply dynamic things such as bricks or boards - you can have them align correctly.
Once you have a uvw map created, saved, and finalized. COLLAPSE it to the scene, rather than simply deleting it. Also, if your still getting the item turning grey, its possible your singular items, or item are in the bigger scene either frozen, or you've not enabled displayinhg of bitmaps in the material editlor.
