hello, i am posting this on the forum because i have always wanted to make games but never really done anything about it. I been reading some stuff and have motivation to go to a game college, i am mostly wanting to do 3d modeling with this program i heard it is called 3ds max but i don't know how to use it. Would they let me join a college say Vanarts, Westwood college, The Art Institute or any other? How should i start? i do not really have the best artistic skills (drawing). Please reply, thanks in advance Zaff
Hello Zaff,
Since you are not artistically-inclined, I suggest that pursuing an art job might not be your best bet. But if you want to fiddle around with 3D modeling, you could download Google's free program, 3D Sketchup. Just Google it.

Once you've played around with Sketchup, you may have a better handle on your chances of making it with more advanced 3D programs.

You should also read up on the various jobs in the game industry.

Your question "would they let me join a college" is a bit baffling. Why do you even ask? Nobody can foretell your future, but if you explain the reason for asking, we might be able to give you better answers. How old are you, what level of education have you completed so far, what is your current occupation -- those answers will also help us give you better answers.

This forum is about breaking into a game industry career, in general: education, job applications, etc. If you have specific questions about 3D art and tools, etc., then the art forum is better suited for that.
