A while ago, I was having a problem detecting the position of mouse clicks. Eventually, by couting the co-ordinates of the click, I determined that they were off by a factor of 3. Dividing by three solved the problem. However, I recently updated my graphics card, and now the mouse clicks are way off again. I could use the same method to fix the problem, but it appears that there is a more basic underlying problem which needs to be fixed. If I don't fix this underlying problem, then my program will be graphics-card-dependent, which is bad, for obvious reasons. Any ideas?

What are you using to determine the location of the mouse?

I registered a callback using glutMouseFunc() and detected mouse clicks from inside there.
