Hello everybody! Ive been looking into getting into the game design field for quite some time, Im taking a training course on blender, learning C++ and practicing my design techniques and etc. But it feels like im only scratching the surface of actually making my game..And I just want to know if you guys can find any resources or tell me of personal experience of how you started, if it helps Im only 14 and I know im young but I am truly dedicated to this. Ive been working on it for a year and im not going to give up now! What I really need help with is how things all go together I guess..I mean Im learning C++ like I previously stated, and also Im learning Blender *which for those of whom do not know its basically just like Maya except free* and I have a game engine *even though its a rather cheap one at that* but..I just have trouble comprehending how it all goes together I guess, Sorry if im being confusing but please try and help, I sincerely thank all of those who respond.

"Game design" is a different thing from programming.
You are apparently asking a question about programming.
So I'm moving this to For Beginners. I recommend you "View Forum FAQ" (above) for starters.

What's the most complex piece of software you have written? How long did it take you? Would you consider it difficult to do another project of the same scope? What did you learn while writing that program?

Sadly, that's because you are only scratching the surface. Ask yourself what you can do know, the degree to which you can do it, and most importantly what you'd like to do. Although it's very easy to target multiple things in the beginning, you find that the best approach is to pick something and specialize in it. If its programming, study computer engineering. Doesn't mean you have to drop your game design bag, but you must focus on a single point it you really hope to have a shot. Good luck
