Project name: Antaros Chronicles: The World Campaign Brief description: AC: TWC is the 2nd in the line of the Antaros Chronicles series, but is the first multiplayer game. I have been in the works developing the platform for the game for the better part of the last 3 weeks and so far have programmed the basic data configurations regarding characters stats and all action sequences regarding to combat and game play. The issue is in the optimization of multiplayer protocol. So far I have only been using a variation of an ajax loop to test out the game play between multiple players, and although this works to a suttle degree, the amount of bandwidth that it requires is quite extensive to continuously submit requests. So the solution lies in establishing a client server socket loop and I haven't used anything relatively close to socket programming nor am I familiar with the majority of the syntax or how to establish the security protocol. Target aim: F2P, Exclusive Release Compensation: None, I am a hobbyist developer, and I'm only asking for assistance not enlisting a full-time position or otherwise. Technology: PHP/JS/MYSQL *All information that is parsed through the game is via AJAX and JSON packaging. Talent needed: Server/Client Developer As stated above I need someone who is fairly experienced with Client/Server socket programming and security protocol. They will be working hand in hand with me to develop a bandwidth-efficient, and secure multiplayer platform. Website: http://antaroschronicles.com Contacts: Antaroschronicles @ hotmail.com Previous Work by Team: AC:TSW Antaros Chronicles: The Story World, is an extensive single player adventure game, equipped with dual AI protocol systems for weather and NPC commerce, real-time battle, and a low-grade player trading system. Additional Info: To be honest all I need a commented script sample of client and server interaction to get an idea of how they communicate, so that I can study and relate the syntax to known functions. I have googled around and have only found samples of socket servers without any explanation on implementation with a client or how to relay a response from one client to all pending threads. Feedback: If you can help by even providing links, samples, anything of the sort that you personally would recommend that would help, I would be grateful.
