Recently, I''ve been getting pop-behind ads for a Discover Platinum Card. Annoying -- Plus I couldn''t use one if I wanted as I''m a minor... silly advertising

Yeah I know, I hate them... I swear if they have onFocus="this.blur();" in the body tag, I am going to have to do something evil! (I''ll wait on checking though, to spare you all. :D)

I actualy click some of the ads in the banner (mostly this Bryce 5 ad.. program looks nice ). Thing is with the pop behinds, they are far less than related to game development than the banners. I don''t think I have had one useful one yes. But at least they get GD.net money.

The pop-behinds are here to stay. Activating them has doubled our ad revenue, which still doesn''t pay the server costs, but it helps a little. If you''d like to keep visiting, get used to them. I think they''re far less annoying than popups, and you only get one per session, so I don''t see how it''s a big deal.

It''s don''t think it''s a big deal. I barely even noticed it. Just right click on the window in your taskbar and click close. You don''t even have to see it

Actually that Task Bar trick was one of the Reasons I thought some n00b put onFocus="this.blur();" in the body tag. I clicked it on the GNOME Task List, and then it GNOME put the pop behind window up for a second, then loaded the GameDev window... Its a great thing that there is no onFocus="this.blur();" anywhere otherwise, I would''ve have had to start getting creatively evil... something applicable, yet ironic.

Hmm perhaps nexttime I should just try right click the spot on the taskbar the Pop-behind is located, and just select "Close."
