Hi guys;
Windows Home Server has their "Drive Extender" technology; basically, you can combine the contents of multiple hard drives under a single drive letter/share folder. In this way you can add extra storage capacity by inserting a new hard drive, without changing your folder structure. This is done without RAID, so you can also use hard disks with uneven sizes (i.e. 12GB + 500GB + 1TB, as opposed to RAID, which requires 3x500GB).
Is it possible to set this up in Windows Server 2008 R2? If so, how?
Thanks,
Server 2008 R2 - Can I Do Volume Concatenation?
Found the answer, after a LOT of digging.
My lack of vocab was the problem with getting help from Google; apparently the answer is the "Spanned Volume" in Windows' disk management.
