I'm just curious; if ever i want to build a motion capture software what books or materials should i read before digging into it. Thanks in advance!

I guess the most of the stuff is
image processing: detecting the white dots (markers),
and camera match: I guess more cameras are used: 2 for rebuilding the 3D scene from the two 2D images, maybe some additional cameras to handle the possible occlusions (when white markers aren't visible). object tracking: in 3D, to identify the individual points.
And some editor to connect the points to build up the bone system.

Just guessing, I don't think it's a very complex stuff. Maybe not enough to write a book about...
If I had some cameras, black paint, some black textile/cardboard I would try it.

Its more than software, right? Lots of expensive hardware required, plus you have to hire that lady who wears the suit =)
