I'm making a word processor, and I have each letter represented as a polygon. All the letters reside in one global vertex buffer. How can I give each letter a separate texture? I am using c++ and directx 10.

You could go the texture atlas approach, having a large texture that contains tiles of each letter in the alphabet and giving each letter's quad corresponding UV coords. That would be more efficient.

Ofcourse! I never thought about manipulating the UVs, thanks a lot, I will try it.
