For those interested, my web comic site was able to get an interview with Tarn Adams, creator of Dwarf Fortress.
It was a very casual interview, but there are a few interesting tidbits for Dwarf Fortress fans and a couple of fun questions on the topic of programming. Check out the rest of the site if you enjoy poorly drawn art and juvenile humor :) As always, feedback is welcome.
Dwarf Fortress creator interview
He should definitely play Minecraft. Having played DF and getting enveloped in its massiveness Minecraft is a nice alternative and is growing fast ever since Notch quit his job and began working full time on it.
Also it's been said numerous times but Adams lacks an understanding of how beginners confront his game which I think has led to his UI obtuseness. Or he does realize it and has put it on the backburner because of bugs.

You gotta have respect for the guy. Cool interview.
Good work with the comic BTW. Some still blow ass but for the most part they are pretty funny.

Ha! Thanks for the compliment [lol] Some of our comics do blow ass; I think the ones I write are definitely the funniest.

Uncrashable and "The ol' switcheroo" are my favorite, were they yours?

Yeah, those were both my writing. Not too many people seem to "get" Uncrashable, so I'm happy to see it has at least one fan! I was definitely inspired by Stupendous Man from Calvin and Hobbes.
