Project name:
Midnight Rising (tentatively, might well change in development).
Brief description:
The concept is for an immersive, in-depth text-based MUD in a fantasy setting. Why a MUD, you ask? Well, as a project with the primary goals of creating something fun and providing experience/something to put on a resume, a MUD is something reasonably achievable. I don't have grand dreams of making the next World of Warcraft or GTA. I selected a text-based MUD because I want to make something that can feasibly be worked on and finished by an indie team, and MUDs can provide great depth to showcase storytelling and gameplay.
For an idea of the kind of depth I'm shooting for, look at www.achaea.com or www.avalon-rpg.com.
Target aim:
Free to play with purchasable items and bonuses.
Compensation:
Should the game generate revenue, it will be shared amongst the team after server/web hosting expenses are paid.
Technology:
At this point, I don't know. That will be up to the lead programmer.
Talent needed:
At this point I am looking for one lead programmer to get the basic engine (allowing players to connect, create a character, walk around a few rooms, etc.) up and running. Once that is done we will likely look for additional people.
Team structure:
Myself (Matt McComb): Lead designer and producer.
Website:
None yet.
Contacts:

Previous Work by Team:
Past experience includes:
-Miscellaneous content writing for Avalon (www.avalon-rpg.com)
-Story development for Sword of the New World (http://www.allgame.com/game.php?id=52037&tab=credits)
-Industry experience (I've worked at Blizzard Entertainment, K2 Network, and Aeria Games over the last ~5 years).
Additional Info:
The primary driver of the game is going to be player interaction. The game will include combat, economic, political, and social systems, all of which revolve around other players. This isn't a "monster-bashing" MUD, rather, it is an immersive world in which players find themselves in control of the evolving history of the land, helping to write it via their actions, successes, and failures. Players can go into politics and become leaders of factions, wage war against other factions, farm, mine, own land, and more.
Feedback:
ANY
