According to this msdn article, there's an ExceptionMessageBox class that resides in the Microsoft.SqlServer.MessageBox namespace inside the Microsoft.ExceptionMessageBox.dll assembly.
According to the deployment section, this assembly is included in any version (besides 3.5 compact) of the Microsoft SqlServer. I've checked that I've installed a dozen versions of those when I installed VS2010 Ultimate and VS2008 Professional, but the assembly still doesn't show up in my add reference dialog.
What do I have to do to finally be able to use this class?
*edit*
I found the solution: I have to manually add the dll as a reference. Funny thing was that somehow windows search is too ***** stupid to find the dll on it's own. It resides inside the following path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\SDK\Assemblies (although you can substitute 100 for 90).
