I have a few recurring dreams that I get at least once a week. One is that a tornado touches down around me. I always get in the car (usually with others) and try to drive away from it. While I'm driving away tons of other tornadoes come out and I end up getting sucked into one before waking up.
Another one is that for whatever reason my tooth will come loose and then all my teeth start falling out.
I have another dream that happens a lot where some of my classes didn't count and I have to go back to high school to get my diploma. So I'm like a 28 year old guy in HS with a bunch of 16 year olds. I always try to play football for the HS team and I'm really good but I never go to practice and the coach doesn't let me play. I also skip class alot and usually end up failing my classes.
Anyone else get these? Would also be interesting if there were some scientific breakthroughs in dreaming. I've noticed most of my dreams are common among people, which I find odd.

That one is extremely common, or so I hear. I've had it a few times. Not very fun.
I've also had the tornado one. That one was really interesting because I truly felt like I was going to die. A near death experience without having to actually get near death. zomg thread crossover.

Also, I've had three different parallels of the same dream that were spread at least 4 years apart; all of them ended the same way: After the usual dream sequence of somewhat coherent nonsense, I walk out of the room only to find myself looking at another me from another parallel of the same dream, creating a time-paradox of some sort, and waking up shortly thereafter.
Climbing a hill that's at about a 90 degree angle (probably back from the summer vacations we used to take, where we had to cross the dikes to get to the beach).
Being the only one able to fly but nobody seems to notice.
Flying too high and starting to drift into space.
Realizing I'm dreaming, but still being unable to guide my dream.

You either believe that within your society more individuals are good than evil, and that by protecting the freedom of individuals within that society you will end up with a society that is as fair as possible, or you believe that within your society more individuals are evil than good, and that by limiting the freedom of individuals within that society you will end up with a society that is as fair as possible.

I know that one. Scary.
Another dream I had quite often is me walking along a pier but somehow there seems to be an ever increasing slope towards the water and I'm having a hard time not falling into the sea.
Another one: Being at a sprint contest or generally just trying to run but not being able to move forward, like being pulled back by a rubber band or something.

Deep thread is deep.
I used to have a recurring dream where I'd run up an infinite flight of stairs but it just kept feeling like the building was sinking. Then I'd get to the top and there would be a window I could float out of. :
That and the zombie dreams. I have a lot of lucid zombie dreams where I'm going through possible zombie apocalypse plans and meeting up with people. Some of them seem like they last a long time. Like searching for supplies and losing survivors to zombie attacks.
Double dream! What does it mean? heh

Google turns up thousands of references regarding this dream. This article offers several possible meanings: Interpreting Tooth Loss as a Dream Symbol. "In many dreams of teeth falling out, the dream starts with just one tooth falling out followed by the rest. Dreamers often try to stop the teeth from coming out but to no avail. These dreams may signify a waking life situation that one feels powerless to change or stop."
I had a crazy dream a month ago where I went with a girl on a date to a biker party and the bikers performed some witchcraft that conjured up a demon ghost car that roared through the party killing a few hangers on (like Ghost Rider crossed with Sons of Anarchy). Then I became worried that they were going to kill me and steal my girl and I woke up.

Wow that's freaky lol. That's the exact same conversation I have with myself. Even stranger is that I read xkcd religiously and I don't remember that one.

Admittedly, outdated, but rather fun to read nevertheless!
Let me paraphrase:
<insert dream here>
Meaning: You want to bone your mom.
