Updates:

1. The image above is a mockup using a map editor.

2. Given the number of readily available platformer code bases, most of the work here will be in coding the user interface and properly sequencing the animations and AI behavior of the monsters, and using the Kongregate API.

From Kongregate, we will need to implement:

Achievements/badges (as many people specifically play games to earn these)
Advertisement
Kred purchase (which will buy new ammo types, augmenting damage/effects and appearance of shots- like many shooting platformers)

The intent is comparative analysis of the use and benefit of these features.

3. When contacting, please include what kind of compensation are you comfortable with;

Contractual payment: We agree on milestones with particular deliverable features, and payment amounts upon those milestones- payment is made upon completion of each milestone.

-Contractual payment is guaranteed, regardless of how profitable the game is, and you will get the amount we agreed on if features are delivered. Hypothetically, if we agreed to pay you $2,000 for various features, you would receive $2,000 upon delivery.

Revenue share: We agree on a certain percentage of the total revenue yielded from Kongregate. You would be given access to the Kongregate account in some form to confirm the revenue, so you can be sure you have been delivered the promised percentage.

-Revenue share is virtually certain as long as the game is completed and it makes more than $20 in ad revenue- the amount, however, is very uncertain.
Hypothetically, if we agreed on a 20% revenue share, and the game received a total revenue of $2,000, you would receive $400. If it got $20k, you'd get $4k.

Profit share: We agree on a percentage of the revenue after our expenses- which would be itemized for you- and would be a higher percentage than revenue share, but would not kick in unless the game makes more money than our expenses.

-Profit share does not guarantee any payment, if the revenue from the game does not exceed our expenses.
Hypothetically, if the game makes a total revenue of $2,000, and we agreed on 50% of profit, you would receive $0- because our costs exceed the revenue. If it draws $20k in revenue, you might get about $8k.

Please note that those ranges ($2k - $20k) are relatively realistic expectations over the life-time of the game (the area under the curve, in calculus, which tapers off to near-zero after about a year) based on our research- Please do your own research, though, and come to your own conclusions.

In any case, we would deliver payment by paypal.
