Hello everyone!

To introduce myself, I'm Steffen, 23 years old and looking for a team working on a (smaller) project to get myself started in making games. I am working as a software developer at a company in germany, creating custom solutions for our clients, involving C#, ASP.NET and MS SQL Server. Also, I like to play the guitar in once a while, and play with blender, making crappy 3d models :)

I'm looking for a position in a project here, preferably in c++, which I just started learning (again), as an assisting programmer, or something similar.

I'm not fully new to creating games, I used some of my time to read some theory, also I first got into c++ and SDL about 5 years ago, my first attempt at making a game was a pong clone, where the source code can be found here:

http://rapidshare.co...lone_source.zip

(I also made a rather unfinished pacman clone, but after that I got busy with finishing school, going to the army for 9 months and gettign a job as a programmer finally. The rest of my projects isn't really worth mentioning.)

Currently, I am creating a resource file compressor, or compiler in c++ using the zlib library as my first project after the break.

If you are interested in "hiring" me, or want to know more about me, don't hesitate and PM me now! (Or send me an email).

(also I'm not interested in joining a team working on the next greatest upcoming MMORPG World of Warcraft - killer ever. Sorry guys.)

Thank you for your replies. I forgot to add, the project should be "non-commercial" if possible, and it was the zlib library used to compress my resource files, not gzip.

Are you interested in being part of something revolutionary in the gaming world? I am only allowed to tell you these few things without you going through our PR division to sign an NDA.

1. We are working with the XNA framework for windows(sorry xbox) with the option to use the xbox controller.

2. This is a commercial project with a moderate budget.(I'm not sure how much myself, I don't work in the accounting division but it's in the 5 digit range).

3. We are incorporating a gameplay style never before seen in the industry.

4. It is a Massive Multiplayer Role Playing Game.

5. There are multiple options and different tiers for compensation and the opportunity to become very wealthy, meet great people, learn new things, and make history by revolutionizing how MMORPG's are played.

6. We are a Legitimate Limited Liability Company although I cannot publicly disclose our business name on these forums.

If you are interested, please PM me your preferred contact information and I will put you through to our Public Relations Division to learn more. If you decide to participate, our PR manager will then forward you to our Internal Relations Division to discuss your position and compensation.(Phone #, fax #, Email, or Messenger Information - Any one of these will work.)

Hey there!

Just read your post and was wondering if you'd be comfortable joining our team in programming an isometric tactical RPG. And no, to make clear this is not an attempt to make an MMO, haha!

We have a small team currently consisting of me, as a project manager who has experience with game programming. However, I do not want to be the one leading it, though I can help with logically planning the game framework.

There also consists two other people: a story writer who is a film writer graduate, as well as a pixel artist.

The Game Design Document is near completed, just inserting some important information. If it's something you think you'd like to start as a project, let me know either here or e-mail me at matthew.ostil(at)gmail.com
