Hi guys,

I'm trying to use D3DX11LoadTextureFromTexture with two textures with 9816x15744 for resize operations in a stereoscopic app using NVIDIA 3d Vision. I'm having some performance issues with this function (it's very slow).

I'm using the following options for filtering: D3DX11_FILTER_SRGB | D3DX11_FILTER_POINT.

Is there any other alternatives of resizing in Direct3D 11?

My PC configuration:

Windows 7 - Pro
Intel i5 @2.67 GHz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480

Thanks in advance.

The upper limit for textures in DirectX 11 is 8192 x 8192.

Dawoodoz,

No, the maximum texture dimension for feature level 11 is 16384 x 16384.
Thanks.

Is it possible to do any preprocessing on these images? Even just converting them to DDS should give you a big speedup.

EDIT: nevermind, I mis-read the title. You can just do it on the GPU by rendering the source texture to another texture that has a render target view.

MJP,

Can you give me an example?
Thanks.
