Hi guys,

I'am just interested, is it possible to make money with Flash games?
Yes, i try to google it.. I found many articles, etc but all are 3-5years old.
I read the different ways how can earn money.. (sponsorships, mochi, ads, etc, etc)

So in nowdays, is it possible to earn some (or decent) money with Flash games?
What is the better way nowdays? (ad, sponsorships, etc)
I know that many of good games out there, and it's difficult to beat in.
Just want to know, how is flash games status now.

Thanks
"Is it possible"

Sure, it is possible.

The two main options are luck, which I don't recommend, and creating a business plan that fills in the ??? step in between "make a game" and "profit", which is highly recommended by many folk.

Searching for business plan information will give many results, including some from people whose business plan is to make a quick buck off of people who don't know about business plans.

How can i survey what kind of games are marketable nowdays?
Or everyone create what he like? Or usually to follow the "trend" it's a way to go.

Let's say i have an idea for a tank shooter game.
Sure there are thousands of tank shooters out there. But my idea is a little bit differ..
And i decide to implement it.

What kind of business plan can i make?

for example:
I need to pay for graphics, sounds, etc.

Please give me an example, what kind of business plan should i create?
That's all part of market research.

How many potential customers do you have? How much are those potential customers willing to pay?

As you said, there are thousands of them out there, many are free. How do you intend to compete and earn money?
Potential income streams for Flash games are the same as they were a few years ago, with the addition that good money can be made via the inclusion of premium content that users pay a small amount to access. The most reliable sources of income are probably sponsorships and (assuming you can create and market a popular game) premium content -- advertising can also do very well in a popular game.

frob is correct in that you should really do market research and have a business plan if you're intending to go into this as a money making venture. I'd suggest taking a short course on business management or at least picking up some books on the topic. You need to research your potential audience, existing games you will be competing with, methods to monetize your game and the potential income and costs associated, any hosting and advertising costs, the methods by which you can and should advertise your game, and the initial expenses involved in actually creating your game. You will then be equipped to make an educated guess as to the potential income of your game.

From there, you still need to make a good game and get it into the hands of enough (and the correct) players to make money.

I recommend that you take a look at kongregate.com they have a system in place for microtransactions and advertising revenue sharing that is very easy to use.

Making money is actually extremely easy, making enough to cover your development and running costs is the hard part as the market is extremely saturated and you need players to come back to your game over and over again.

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
Thanks.

I already checked kongregate as well some other flash game pages that have opportunities for developers. I realized that i have many ways to earn money like these portals advertisement sharing system and Flashgamelicense.com ,mochi, etc
So i will do market research, etc after that i can calculate which method(s) best for me.
